‘Ema’ Official Trailer

The official trailer has been released for ‘Ema’, directed by Pablo Larrain and starring Gael Garcia Bernal, Mariana Di Girolamo, Santiago Cabrera, Paola Giannini, Giannina Frutero.

Check out the trailer below and the synopsis:  ‘Ema (Mariana Di Girolamo), a young dancer, decides to separate from Gastón (Gael Garcia Bernal) after giving back Polo, the son they both adopted and were unable to raise. In a desperate search through the streets of the port city of Valparaíso, Ema seeks love affairs in order to overcome her guilt. However, she has a secret plan to recover everything she’s lost.’

‘Ema’ was written by Guillermo Calderón and Alejandro Moreno,  and is produced by Fabula’s Juan de Dios Larraín.

It will premiere at the Venice Film Festival on August 3oth 2019, and will celebrate its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival the following week.

Ema

Ema is directed by award-winning Chilean filmmaker Pablo Larraín, director of No, The Club, Neruda, and Jackie. Screenplay is by Guillermo Calderón and Alejandro Moreno. Music by Nicolás Jaar.  Principal photography began in August 2018 on location in Valparaíso, Chile.

Ema’s worldwide premiere will be  at the Venice Film Festival August 20th 2019 and will also appear at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September and at the London Film Festival (LFF) in October.
