Salvation Season 2 adds Jonathan Silverman and Taylor Cole

As reported exclusively today by TVLine,  Jonathan Silverman will appear in Salvation season 2 as Roland Kavanaugh, White House Counsel for President Mackenzie’s administration.  Roland is described as “a man ill-equipped to deal with the unprecedented nature of events facing the nation and the world” which doesn’t bode well for him helping to save the planet.

Also Taylor Cole will reprise her Season 1 role and recur as Fiona Lane, Harris’ one time fling who joins the government’s asteroid deflection team (!) and in so doing creates friction for Harris and Grace.

Silverman — who is the real-life husband of Salvation star Jennifer Finnigan — has many previous TV credits, including Getting On, Significant Mother, The Single Guy, Scandal, Castle and Rosewood. Cole meanwhile has appeared on The Originals, The Glades and The Event.

Salvation Season 2

For season 2, with the added threat of nuclear war on the horizon, Darius (Santiago), Grace (Jennifer Finnigan) and Liam (Charlie Rowe) must work together with Harris Edwards (Ian Anthony Dale) the Secretary of Defense to find a way to divert the asteroid, stop war and save humanity before time runs out.    The final episode of season 1, which aired September 20 2017, left Darius, Liam and Grace battling an illegitimate government and making difficult decisions about who would enter a bunker under the imminent threat of the asteroid colliding with Earth.

Kreiling will play Alycia Stavros, a brilliant scientist with a mysterious past who may hold the key to the planet’s future. Thomas will portray Alonzo Carver, a DC detective who refuses to let the impending threat of Armageddon interfere with his hunt for justice.
