Salvation Season 2

From her tweet, Erica Luttrell (Claire Rayburn) is in Vancouver for Season 2 filming.   Since Claire was shot dead by Grace Barrowes (Jennifer Finnegan) in Season 1 for her part in the conspiracy to remove the President (Tovah Feldshuh), or so it seemed, it’s not clear how Claire will fit into Season 2.

Ian Anthony Dale is reprising his role as Harris Edwards.  Rachel Drance (Zoe Barrows) and Shaza Raji (Amanda Neel) are also anticipated to return.

As already announced, Melia Kreiling (Tyrant) and 24: Legacy alum Ashley Thomas will join Season 2 cast as new series regulars. Kreiling will play Alycia Stavros, a brilliant scientist with a mysterious past who may hold the key to the planet’s future. Thomas will portray Alonzo Carver, a DC detective who refuses to let the impending threat of Armageddon interfere with his hunt for justice.

For season 2, with the added threat of nuclear war on the horizon, Darius (Santiago), Grace (Jennifer Finnigan) and Liam (Charlie Rowe) must work together with Harris Edwards (Ian Anthony Dale) the Secretary of Defense to find a way to divert the asteroid, stop war and save humanity before time runs out.    The final episode of season 1, which aired September 20 2017, left Darius, Liam and Grace battling an illegitimate government and making difficult decisions about who would enter a bunker under the imminent threat of the asteroid colliding with Earth.

Showrunners Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro executive produced Season 1 with Alex Kurtzman and Heather Kadin, Stuart Gillard and Peter Lenkov. CBS Television Studios produces Salvation in association with Secret Hideout. The first season of Salvation can be streamed now on CBS All Access, Amazon Prime, iTunes and Netflix.  The DVD is also available from Amazon.com.
